About the Rewire your Brain Transformational Coaching Program

The RYB program is a self-directed neural rehabilitation program which is tailored to your unique symptoms, trigger patterns, history of stressors and dietary needs. You will need to commit to a minimum of 1 hour per day to do the exercises. The program also includes twelve 60-90 minute 1:1 coaching calls with Pamma over a period of 6 months. All calls are done over the phone. You will also receive a variety of coaching tools, handouts and personalized recipes. Since each person comes to these coaching sessions with unique circumstances and levels of illness, we work with where you’re at in a compassionate and paced approach. 

The brain retraining portion of the program is drawn from many areas including:

  • Neuro-Linguistic Programming
  • Positive Psychology
  • Cognitive restructuring and appraisal

Mindfulness and Meditation

Healing only happens in a relaxation state. You cannot heal in a stress state. If you’ve got a chronic illness this means that your body has a maladapted stress response and it is crucial to learn to relax, not just on the meditation cushion but throughout your day. The physiological and emotional benefits of learning to calm down your autonomic nervous system (ANS) are endless.

You will learn practical tools to calm your ANS that work for you, including pacing, breathing techniques, and a variety of meditations. You will also learn how to bring mindfulness into your everyday experience. You will learn to get your body consistently into the optimum healing state and support its natural ability to heal.

Movement

If you’re like the majority of people experiencing chronic illness, you’ve likely discovered that exercise does not give you more energy. In fact, even if you have followed the recommendation from doctors or a personal trainer to start slow and gradually work your way up, you will eventually experience a crash. Exercise for those suffering with chronic illness is a complicated subject, and even the word exercise can trigger some! Which is why we prefer to call it movement. The benefits of moving your body are endless, and again the amount of or type of movement that you will tolerate will vary depending on your history and symptoms. Pamma will help you build up gradually to movement that you can tolerate and works for you. 

Diet

There is no one diet that is right for everyone. We are all unique, with unique blood and bones and body types and sensitivities. In the RYB program, allow Pamma to tailor a step-by-step meal plan for your recovery, including individual-specific recipes for you so that the transition to your new diet is built around foods and flavours that you enjoy. Incorporated in this diet are foods that can enhance your brain’s ability to heal from a neural network impairment. 

Many people find it difficult to make dietary changes on their own, and depending on your body’s reaction to certain foods, you may not need to make many changes. Whatever your specific needs are, let Pamma make this an easy – and delicious – transition for you. Learn which foods give you energy and which foods decrease your energy; foods that increase and decrease stress and inflammation, and foods that enhance brain functioning and foods that can make you feel brain fog. Often our bodies simply need a break from certain foods, and we can bring most of them back into our life once fully recovered. 

As this is an individually-tailored, comprehensive health and life coaching program, we will also address cravings or self-sabotage if needed and nip them in the bud so they do not get in the way of your recovery process.

Sleep

One of the most critical elements for recovery is good, restorative sleep. Pamma will help you get to the root of your sleep issues so that you can start enjoying your slumber again. Many people with chronic fatigue and related illnesses know all too well the difficulties that sleep can bring. You may have a restless feeling, twitchy muscles, a busy mind, or a myriad of other symptoms which either keep you awake, or keep you waking up. 

You will also learn the importance of sunlight and learn how to get in sync with your circadian rhythm. 

Finding your joy

Since Chronic illness often has its roots in ongoing chronic stress and various forms of physical and emotional trauma, coming back to balance and re-engaging with joy is critical to long-term recovery (and it just feels good!). Here you will explore what wants to be nourished in your life and what brings you joy, as well as ways to find more gratitude and self-love in your daily life. 

This may include letting go of outdated beliefs and thought-patterns that no longer serve the new you that you are becoming.

Creating change by yourself can be hard, and we need the right system, support and accountability to make lasting changes. Pamma is here to support you every step of the way with guidance, connection and increased motivation.
